Intelligent Spas has released a new Spa Industry Survey Report entitled Impact of US Tariffs on the Spa Industry.
The results of this valuable research will help businesses navigate these new changes in market conditions.
The tariffs have caused a lot of uncertainty in the spa industry and this Report aims to share the variety of strategies which businesses are using to minimise the impacts, plus it identifies the changes made to financial and employment plans.
Some key findings include:
- 28% of survey respondents stated they were negatively impacted by the new tariffs
- Of those, 45% of respondents located in the US stated they were negatively affected by the tariffs, versus 29% of those located in Asia Pacific
- 47% of those who sell their products and/or services to the Americas region said they have experienced negative impacts of the tariffs
- All spas surveyed said their operational costs had increased, whereas decreased revenue and demand for goods and services was noted by 60% of spas
- Of those who stated they had not experienced any impact to business operations yet, 32% have already changed their financial forecasts and budgets
